What is Media ?

here we are back again with the blog. I'll be using my blog  more frequently from now on since it's a MUST for every student in the FCM to have one. So , obviously i'm going to talk about media today since i typed it as the main topic.


First of all , what is media exactly ? the word media itself is directly from Latin meaning ' an interverning agency, means and instrument ' also based on the wikipedia and thesaurus , media is a medium that is use by the people from across the generation to deliver messages. For example , back then cave painting was a form of media that was used by cavemens all over the globe as a way to deliver their messages and interact to one another. Nowadays , media has evolved into something far greater than drawings on rocks. Media is associated in almost everything in the world , people are using media as a form of communication with people across the world. Television/Internet etc. is one of the huge influences of media. These medium are called media because it's being use to communicate and delivering messages.

 There are wide varieties of media , for example there's print media which is the newspaper we're using today , books , magazines , comics basically anything related to physical printing. Modern media's consist of movies , televisions , video games. All of these medias share one thing in common which is to deliver a message to us viewers/readers.

 Media have their pros and cons. Media can either be use proficiently for a great cause or be use to spread lies for their own benefits. Since almost everyone in the world nowadays have at least one medium as a source of media, global news around the world could reach them in a matter of a few seconds and that's just one of the pros of media. The cons are that people can easily spread lies and hate towards a certain people so easily since the internet can be access publicly by everyone.

 Friendly advice here is to use the media we have wisely!

My take on Advertising Design class - Week 1

So, this is basically my fourth AD class as an advertising student. Let's see, my first sem was more towards making a poster digitally then my second sem is making motion graphics with logos that has already been established, i remembered mine was for llaollao. Third sem is making a  new logo, product, mobile app and a short video. I think i learnt a lot from this class especially in designing and how to make it more appealing towards my target audience. It's helpful especially if i were to go to an advertising agency when i graduate or for an internship, however this class doesn't really teach you on the technicalities besides relying on the other class that you're taking or self taught. The lecturers are basically our clients and we're meant to please their taste in designs and do amends according to how they want it which is basically how it works in the real world so i think that's a good start. DTC - WEEK 6 ENTRY 1

Most of our group members are quiet and busy with their own thing and luckily me and Uzair are in the same faculty so we see each other more often to talk about our DTC project and although we've started to do some basic sketching on the how the design of the website are going to look like we still can't proceed with it because our other group members are up to their own assignments and i am left with Uzair to do the rest.

DTC - WEEK 8 ENTRY 2

It is finally over! after 4 weeks of frustration and restless sleeps DTC is finally over and I am so glad that I am done with this because i have tons of other assignments to worry about! Although i overslept for a bit , i still managed to arrive to day on time and when i reached there my group mate Uzair was setting up our pitch deck and then later came Harith and Si lence was the last to arrive. Today wasn't a good day at all, coincidentally all of us ran out of ink printers so we couldn't print it the night before and we were hoping that we could print it in the morning before the DTC but sadly even the 24hrs printing shop were closed today because of raya haji so Uzair only managed to print out the value proposition canvas and the project title that i designed yesterday. Our pitch deck wasn't perfect but it's standing at least. It may looked bland but we have all the information in our laptops. We waited for a while until the our first judge came to our ...
