The man in the picture is known as   Jan Švankmajer ,  he is well known amongst surrealist for his animation and features which had a significant influence towards other artist's. He's Czech animator born in Prague on  4th   September  1934  . He was exposed to puppet theatre that was given as a gift when he was a child which became the root of his artistic developments.He studied at the College of Applied Arts in Prague and later in Department of Puppetry at the Prague Academy of Performing Arts.  Švankmajer released his first film The Magic Trick which was reflected during his time working at the Laterna Magika which is the world's very first multimedia theatre.  Švankmajer was married to Eva  Švankmajerová  an internationally known surrealist painter, ceramicist and writer until her death in October 2005. Surrealism ,  the word of the year acknowledged by Merriam-Webster in 2016. The word itself has became a catch-all for the bizarre , the irrational , the hallucinatory and basically the definition of weird in all aspects that exists. The term surrealism first appeared in the writing of French poet Guillaume Apollinaire who used it in 1917 to describe Jean Cocteau's ballet parade and his own play " The Breast of Tiresias ". For Apollinaire surrealism meant the fruits of a human imagination freed from the task of imitating nature. Surrealism began as an art movement in France in 1924 founded by a writer and poet Andre Breton , he wasn't just writer and a poet. In fact , he was also trained in medicine and psychiatry.               Evolutionary in Media here we are back again with the blog. I'll be using my blog    more frequently from now on since it's a MUST for   every student in the FCM to have one. First of all , what is media exactly ? the word media itself is directly from Latin meaning ' an interverning agency, means and instrument ' also based on the wikipedia and thesaurus , media is a medium that is use by the people from across the generation to deliver messages. OK!   So, this is my first time having my own blog and since a blog is basically a digital version of a diary then i guess i don't really have a problem with it because oh i love to write, from personal to just daily activities i'll write everything that comes on my mind.
