I'll start things off with the first short film which is down to the cellar. The story starts of about a girl heading down the stairs holding a basket in her hands and the basket contains a key that plays a significant role in the film later on. As the girl heads down the stairs she came across a guy in a doctor-like outfit and a woman that sweeps the floor both of these people she met once stared at the key in an unusual way.
As she heads towards the bottom of the staircase she stumbled across a black cat resting in front of an old cellar. She went into the cellar since it's not locked. She brought a flashlight with her and use it throughout the course of being down there. As she went deeper in the cellar she came across " living " shoes that fought over a bread and the guy that she saw from the stairs above sleeping on a charcoal bed with a charcoal blanket. Right across the guy's room were the old lady that swept the floor room's. In her room she was seen cooking using charcoal as a dough for her to bake some cupcakes. Both of these people noticed the little girl presence which made the girl ran somewhere else.
In continuity, the girl found a chest filled with potatoes which she puts in her basket several times only to realize that the potatoes rolled back inside the chest by itself. She did succeed in putting the potatoes in her basket after a few times and she was going to head out of the cellar with the potatoes but was stopped by the black cat in front of the cellar. Thus , causing all of the potatoes to roll over downstairs.
To be honest i have no idea how to interpret this video but the way i see it is that the little girl represents all of us when we were a kid and how curious we were to find out new things including not caring about the risk we're into. The living shoes might just be her imagination since kids tends to imagine a lot mostly according to what they're afraid of. The charcoal usage in the video seems like a major part in the video probably because it represents back then charcoal was the source for everything and that most people can't afford foods and basic needs like shelter thus , telling us that they would use whatever the things they have at hand to survive.
My next entry would be about this short film.
There's a total of three sections which is breakfast , lunch and dinner. Breakfast starts of in a room of two people sitting on a chair in front of a table facing each other. One of them have a manual on how to get the foods chained on his neck. Firstly , one would have to follow the instructions and the food will pop up in an abnormal way. This cycle would go on and on since it showed a lot of people are lining up to get their food in the same abnormal way.
The next section is lunch. Two guys sitting on a chair in front of a
table facing each other trying to get the waiter's attention but that didn't work out so they ended up eating the furniture until they're literally bare naked. In the end , the well-suited guy ate the poor guy.
The last section is dinner. This scene shows a variety type of people from an athlete to a potato couch guy. All of them had one thing in common which they all ate their own body parts. I think this shows that how " we are what we eat " and that it could destroy us.
